Blue Casting

Another technology that has been around for a long time.  And yes, we’re aware of the industry debate that’s going on regarding privacy and opt-in best practices.  Truth be told, we’re not sure how this one will play out.  But we do think that there are real, viable, applications that can be useful today, no matter how the legislation plays out.

For instance, we’re using Blue Casting technology in our office lobby’s to survey visitors and to deliver information about our services (opt-in of course).

We also recently used the technology at our booth at this year’s Interact conference in Washington DC.

Of the 600 attendees, over 150 of them accepted or “opted in” to recieve our content (photo below).

The blue casted message simply told people about our innovative booth and invited them to stop by.  Can we tie to business results?  Not yet.  But did we effectively use this to spark conversation and engage attendees with our brand? Absolutely.
